However 2018 is quickly emerging out to be the year where filmmakers are postponing their movies and altering the release dates. The game changer here could be Padmaavat which was earlier slated to release on December 1, 2017. Due to various issues the movie is now releasing on 25th January. As Padmaavat got postponed to Republic day week, Padman and Aiyaary took the heat and had to move to February 9, 2018.

The after effects of this move can be seen far and wide with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is releasing on 23rd Feb and Pari on 2nd March starring Anushka Sharma. Not only that even movies like Dutt Biopic, 2.0, Dhadak and Veere Di Wedding have been pushed back from their initial release date.
